Bali Sunshine Living is an independent journal written from the south of the island. It is aimed at three overlapping groups: families working out whether Bali is a sensible place to bring children, people considering staying longer than a fortnight, and anybody who has been once and wants to do it better the second time.
Most of what we write about is practical rather than aspirational - which beaches are actually calm enough to swim at, how long the drive to Ubud really takes at four in the afternoon, how the monthly rental market works, and why the wet season is not the problem people assume.
We are not a booking agent or a villa manager, we take no commission, and nothing here is a paid placement. Where a place is named it is because it belongs in the sentence.
